Support & Setup Guide

Follow these steps to configure your Sony camera and the soloc app for seamless location tagging.

1. Configure Camera Settings

Enable Bluetooth

• Go to Network > Bluetooth.
• Set Bluetooth Function onto ON.

Enable Location Information

• Ensure Location Info is enabled within your camera's settings.
• Note: Settings may vary by camera model. Please refer to your camera's official manual if these menus differ.

Disable "Connect while Power OFF"

• Go to Network > Cnct./PC Remote (or similar menu).
• Set Cnct. while Power OFF onto OFF.

2. Pair Your Camera

Prepare Camera for Pairing

• Go to Network > Bluetooth.
• Select Pairing to put the camera in discoverable mode.

Connect via App

• Open the soloc app on your phone.
• Ensure Bluetooth and Location Services are enabled on your device.
• If prompted, grant the app permission to access Bluetooth and Location.
• Tap the "+" button to add a new device.
• Confirm the connection by entering the authentication code displayed on your camera if prompted.

Pairing is now complete! Your camera will now receive location data from soloc.

3. Troubleshooting: Re-pairing

If you encounter issues, please try deleting the existing pairing and re-connecting.

Remove Pairing on Camera

• Go to Network > Bluetooth > Managed Paired Device.
• Select your phone and Delete it.

Remove Pairing on iPhone

• Go to iOS Settings > Bluetooth.
• Find your camera in the list and tap the (i) info icon.
• Select Forget This Device.
